Saturday Blog Catch Up
It’s Saturday, I’m catching up on my blog feed and came across a few interesting discoveries. As usual, I started with Austin Kleon, my favorite of favorites. […]
Presentation for SVA ‘delkurs 4’
Muntlig presentation is one of the four assignments required to be completed to pass the svenska som andraspråk grundläggande delkurs 4. This means students are to prepare a presentation on any topic (the topic must be checked with and approved by the teacher) and then presented in class on an agreed date.
I did mine about 2.5 weeks ago. […]
My SVA ‘Grund’ Journey Has Ended!
I have been updating my svenska som andraspråk (Sva) journey in this post but achieving this milestone is worthy of a standalone post, so here it is…
1.5 years after moving to Sweden, I have completed my fundamental Swedish as a second language (in Swedish: grundläggande svenska som andraspråk). […]
Keys to Success — B. C. Forbes
Today is Sunday and it's my day of reflection. The essay below, "Keys to Success," written by B. C. Forbes in 1917, is a constant reminder to me of what life is about. I refer to it often and am inspired to share it today:

Happy New Year 2023!
I went to bed at 9 PM on new year’s eve—the usual time. Before that, I was reading HOW TO BEGIN by Michael Bungay Stanier (he goes by the moniker MBS). Beginning at 7 PM, I started reading where I left off the day before, and finished Chapter 2 (which felt more like a “Part” 2) of the book. There are, in total, 3 chapters (or parts).
Mister Pops and I were sleeping soundly when the fireworks started going off. […]
How to Begin
Yesterday Amazon.se delivered my fresh batch of books. Perfect timing. Today I launched right in, and started with HOW TO BEGIN by MBS—nej, it’s not Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, but Michael Bungay Stanier. With an Eriksberg in hand to begin ‘the ritual’ I began reading.
It’s a very good book to end the current year and usher in the new. Peter Jöback’s Stockholm i natt is playing in the background. I took a sip of my Eriksberg. […]
