Pablo Neruda #11

Pablo Neruda 20 Love Poems.jpg

Every day for the next 20 days leading to Valentine's Day, I’ll be sharing bits of Pablo Neruda's Twenty Love Poems (Veinte Poemas de Amor).

Here's the 11th counting down to the celebration of ♥...

XII.

You gather things to you like an old road.
You are peopled with echoes and nostalgic voices.
I awoke and at times birds fled and migrated

Acogedora como un viejo camino.
Te pueblan ecos y voces nostálgicas.
Yo desperté y a veces emigran y huyen
pájaros que dormían en tu alma.
