How to Speak Any Language Fluently
HOW TO SPEAK ANY LANGUAGE FLUENTLY by Alex Rawlings arrived in the mail today. I’m super excited and I'm placing this bright yellow book alongside my other language books.
I first found out about Alex from Olly Richards' podcast series, I Will Teach You A Language.
New Notebooks
I have been using the Five Star spiral notebooks (sheet size: 8-1/2" x 11") for over a week now and I'm loving it. The paper is lightweight but the quality is good. Ink doesn’t bleed through the paper even when I use my Tombow brush pens and Pilot drawing pens.
Which to Choose?
When I saw this post by Itchy Feet on Twitter, I was like, oh gosh, that is so what I'm getting when I tell people I'm learning Swedish.
Swedex Exam: An Update
Today's the day! I sat for my Swedex A2 test.
On hindsight…Short-circuiting the timeline to proficiency to sit for an exam may not be the wisest thing to do. It certainly was brave of me and I was being a bit of a daredevil, but so too is the higher probability of fail rate.
Swedex Exam
Sometime in August this year, I mentioned my plan to sit for the A2 certification by Swedex a year from now (in 2018). Well, there's been a slight change of plan—I'll be sitting for it in a few days’ time on 19 December!
My rather last minute exam application to the Folkuniversitetet in Jönköping, Sweden was successful (didn’t expect that to happen!) and I paid the exam fee yesterday.
Losing My Duolingo Streak
It happened a few days ago. I repaired my streak but lost it again after a day because for some reasons even I couldn't quite understand, I just overlooked signing on to Duolingo. So, bye-bye 76-day streak and hello, #reset.
Swedish Made Easy
This—my friends—is an awesome course. If you are interested in learning Swedish, I highly recommend it. The Swedish Made Easy, 6-day course is very easy to follow and the instructor, Felix Lättman is a joy to listen to and watch.
In this engaging course, he scripted the lessons and selected one candidate, Shien Zutshi from Canada, to learn 1-on-1 with him for 30 hours.
My Swedish Homework
The above assignment is from page 31 of the book, Swedish Tutor. My goal is to attempt all the writing exercises and post them here. Until the next läxa (homework), hej då (bye)!
