Darkly Dreaming Dexter
This is a 100-word book review.
Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay features a serial killer with a heart—the psychopath Dexter Morgan who is a full-time forensic blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police. He kills only the bad guys (and is never caught) and is driven by his late adoptive father’s code of ethics he calls “The Code of Harry.” When another killer comes to town imitating his style, Dexter gets really curious. Deborah, his adoptive sister and a police officer, doesn’t know about Dexter’s ‘extracurricular activities’ and needs his help to crack the case. Darkly Dreaming Dexter is an interesting story but I’m not crazy about it. It’s still a good read, though.
