Here Comes the Sun

I’m waiting for daylight savings to kick in. It’s getting brighter now. I woke up early, and there was already light. I ‘float’ around the house doing my usual routine—feeding the cat snacks, brewing my coffee, and placing a vinyl on my turntable.

The Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun started playing. It’s so, so apt!

Little darlin', I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darlin', it seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
And I say, it's alright

Spring is coming. Spring’s arrival is a reminder of nature’s perpetual promise of renewal and rebirth. My favorite is autumn, but spring is a season that inspires us to shed our wintry layers (both physical and metaphorical), inviting the sunlight to thaw our frozen spirits. I find that this transformative time resonates deeply with the melodious optimism of The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun.” The shifting season promises new beginnings and fresh perspectives, and George Harrison’s gentle guitar riffs make it all the more pleasant…

Well, I just have to write this down and then start my work day.

As the days grow longer and the world around us blooms, let’s carry the melody of optimism with us, letting it guide our steps into the bright, promising spring days. Let’s bid farewell to the cold (although it never really goes away where I live) and welcome the warmth inspired by The Beatles’ timeless words. Here comes the sun, and I say, it’s alright.
