THE GYMNAST is a film about hanging on and letting go. The film is directed by Ned Farr who is also Dreya Weber's husband.

A few things made me go totally gaga over the movie: The super strong and graceful Dreya Weber (as Jane) and Addie Yungmee (as Serena), the emotional complexity and possibility of falling in love with someone of the same sex, and of course, the mind blowing aerial acts by the Dreya and Addie.

TALK TO ME LIKE I’M SOMEONE YOU LOVE by Nancy Dreyfus, Psy.D is a special book. It’s special because of its flashcards concept. The idea was inspired when the author was working with a particular couple (unrelenting wife versus emotionally withdrawn husband). As a last resort, the author scribbled on a scrap of paper, Talk to me like I’m someone you love! and gently instructed the husband to hold it up to his wife. She noticed things began to shift between the couple and a strikingly more mutual connection began emerging in front of everyone’s eyes. Stephen Hawking is a Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge and a leading theoretical physicist in the world. He also wrote the multi-million worldwide bestseller A Brief History of Time.

I picked up this book because I like science. Astronomy is one of my favourite subjects. The book mixes fiction and facts giving readers an exciting adventure story. George is a young boy who likes technology and wants a computer more than anything else. But his parents do not like modern inventions and want to live a simpler life. They wash their clothes by hand, use candles in place of electricity, and so on. All George has for himself is his pet pig, Freddy.
