Original Olivetti Metal Spools

Two weeks ago, I mentioned waiting for my original Olivetti metal typewriter ribbon spools to arrive. I finally have them in hand! I found the metal ribbon spools from London Typewriters in the UK.

I did have to pay declaration and import duty before it can be cleared for collection (total duty paid: SEK 132 / USD12 / SGD 17). A small price to pay to complete the machine!

The seller did include a disclaimer saying that because these are the original metal spools, there might be some signs of use and age — LOVE!! According to the seller, the set is the exact 1004FN configuration pair of spools.

I tested my O32 and it typed wonderfully. I absolutely love how the bespoke spools now complete this beautiful machine.
