Dear John by Nicholas Sparks is about John Tyree. John is a troubled young man who joins the army after high school. During his leave, he meets Savannah Lynn Curtis and falls in love with her in a short time. Their feelings are mutual. Little did they know, the two words—“Dear John”—would change their lives forever. If you have loved ones serving in the army, you will appreciate the story even more. The waiting, the longing, and the fear of losing the one you love can be too much to bear. Love doesn’t always have the ending you want. Need I say, I cried buckets reading the book.
