Some Happy (Birdy) Thoughts

In early October last year, I visited the Singapore Jurong Bird Park with my friend and former colleague, Eunis. On the same day, I decided to post the picture of this handsome and fearsome-looking huge bird on Unsplash.com.

Fast-forward to today, I decided to look at the stats just for the fun of it. I didn’t think to do so for the past 14 months—not until now, anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! 

My magnificent bird—the shoebill stork—has garnered over 13,000 views and over 100 downloads! I’ve not posted any of my work on Unsplash.com before this, so I’m really grateful that my photo has received the attention I didn’t imagine would be so positive.
