4-in-1: Moments of…

Synopsis from the jacket: Mr and Mrs Brown first meet Paddington—a most endearing bear from Darkest Peru—on a railway platform in London. He is sitting on a battered suitcase wearing a most odd-looking hat and sign hanging around his neck that says, “Please look after this bear.” So that is just what they do, little knowing that their lives will never be the same.

What led you to pick up these books?

I got them at a bargain from Christianbook.com.

What did you like most about them?

Beautiful, colorful graphics. Meaningful quotes. The books make me want to quickly go connect with all my girlfriends. It makes me value and appreciate their friendship even more. Needless to say, they make great gifts too! They are full of brilliant, girly ideas. For example: There are lots of little ways to spoil our girlfriends, and they should be practiced often. From buying their favourite candy to picking up a book we know they'll love (I LOVE THIS ONE!), we can make their days special with the smallest act of thoughtfulness. ~from Moments of Indulgence

Or, something very girly like this, which for some strange reason, I’m not keen on doing except for helping my girlfriends with HER shopping (haha!): A girl can’t have too many shades of lipstick, too many pairs of shoes, or too many girlfriends to help her decide which ones to buy. ~also from Moments of Indulgence

Or, how about this—can you relate to this one? You know you’ve made a new friend when... You find yourselves laughing at the same jokes. You discover you like the same books and movies. You find yourselves talking faster and faster, trying to find out everything about each other. The differences you find only make the other person seem more interesting. ~Quote by Ellen Sanna from Moments of Adventure

And, this was exactly what happened to Pui See, Irene and me when we were planning our trip to Singapore that sadly didn’t happen because we took precaution against H1N1: Anticipating and planning an adventure with our girlfriends is almost as much fun as going on on—even if it doesn’t happen, we have a great time talking about it! ~also from Moments of Adventure

Coffee or water cooler breaks is important in the office: Remember when recess was the best part of the day? It was a “friendship” break—something we should all make time even when we’re all grown up! ~from Moments of Innocence

Would you recommend this book?

Yes

Would you re-read the book?

Yes. In fact, I already did. I read them from front to back, and few times over. Some of the quotes are so good for reflection.

Dedication: This post is dedicated to all my girlfriends, and of course, YOU!
