A “Haruki Murakami Quotes” Mini Notebook
Meanwhile, Mister Pops the Cat napped to the sound of typewriter typing and thermal printer printing...
I was in the basement retrieving some art materials (acrylic paint tubes, brushes and stuff) and plucked out a few past issues of my Flow magazines from the bookshelf there. Then I found this mini notebook (roughly A7-size).
An idea came to me to use my Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter to type out my favorite soul-searching Murakami quotes… (The illustration is taken from: https://www.glamour.com/story/haruki-murakami-advice)
This is a quote from the book, 1Q84.
I printed a few of Murakami’s pictures from the Internet and glued them onto some of the pages. I also removed two pages — front and back — from the notebook to reduce its thickness so that it’ll slot easier into the typewriter.
