I finished Dead Until Dark in one sitting. Sookie Stackhouse is a waitress in small-town Louisiana. She has a ‘disability’ because she is telepathic and that makes dating very difficult. She meets a vampire named Bill Compton at the bar where she works and they fall in love. Soon, girls like her (waitresses who date vampires) are murdered and she could be next. So what is going on? There are quite a bit of adult scenes in the novel. I like Sookie. Besides Bill, I also like Eric, another dashing vampire who is also intrigued by her.
