Blackout Poem: Too much of a good thing

Today’s text for my blackout poem is taken from The Fellowship of the Ring, the first of three volumes of J. R. R. Tolkien’s epic The Lord of the Rings.

 

Time wore on,
was much the same
well-preserved; unchanged
some thought this was too much of a good thing;
perpetual youth
inexhaustible wealth
trouble will come
but so far had not
