Birthday Gift For A Girl: Meeting A Unicorn

Darcie says to herself, “A unicorn’s magic could make my frowns flip whenever I feel sad, mad, or alone or if I get hurt after I trip!”

Darcie adds, “My birthday is in a week, so I’ll surely ask for one. It’ll be totally cool to gallop on and play with, in the warm sun!”

NOTE: This is a book review request by the author.

Birthday Gift For A Girl: Meeting A Unicorn, by Amanda Evans, is a fun, colorful, and heartwarming book. The rhyming 30-page book is great for a read-along (or read-aloud) with the little ones under your care. I read it singsong-style to my cat, Mr Pops, and he appears to be pleased by it.

Darcie is a fun-loving little girl and she loves unicorns (I do too!). She has a pretty pony named Sable that is also her best friend. Sable is a very smart pony. Did you know she keeps a birthday calendar in her stall where she tracks human and animal holidays? Sable begins to plan for Darcie’s birthday; she wants her best friend to be happy by making her wish come true. She begins to plot her own transformation.

It’s a wonderful story of friendship, imagination, and sweet realization!
