Young Adult Fiction

I was reading the June issue of Cosmopolitan and came across this article by John Green: There's No Age Limit to Loving Teen Drama.

Green's words touched me: […]

How I Learn a Language by Reading Foreign Magazines

I find leisure reading a fun way to learn a foreign language and for those I’ve already mastered, it’s a great way to reinforce. An example of leisure reading is reading magazines IN the target language, and this is what this post is about.

I don’t indulge in fashion but I like reading about fashion. I transfer that interest to reading the subject in Italian (my target language) and have gone on to include Spanish and French.

Many times in my life I’ve taken actions (not without risks!) and there had been moments I got them right but many times wrong too. In the beginning when I was younger, I often felt guilty, terrible, and miserable, but as I grow older I realize […]

Quotes

“I am more focused on the importance of kindness, generosity of heart, and of not tolerating nonsense from people who want to make me feel miserable. I want to spend my precious moments surrounded by great people and experiences that I can get excited about. Life is a limited commodity and I do not take even one minute for granted.” —Raeleen D'Agostino Mautner, PhD., author ”Lemons into Limoncello”
